Works great but I hope I don't drop it! It may or may not survive landing on concrete.

I bought the one for 3/8" siding but I bet it will work on 5/16".

I bought this for my husband so he could install hardi board siding on my storage building. He absolutely loved it.

Awesome product. Does exactly what it says to do. No major complaints and I’ve almost done an entire house with the pair. Dropped a couple of times from the second story without breaking. The only issue I have is since they are plastic if you over-tighten the clamp, they will push out and drop the board too low.

If they were metal I bet they wouldn’t do that. But they also tell you in the instructions about not over-tightening them so it’s not like they are trying to hide it. I couldn’t imagine doing this siding without them.

I was able to put new siding on my whole house by myself using these!

These are awesome! Slide under the previously attached plank as shown in my pics. The question I had was "How much is a correct reveal" or overlap in the planks, however you look at it. I suspect each siding mfg., has their recommendation. LP has theirs for the 3/8" siding I used, of a minimum 1" overlap. These are adjustable each 1/4" so you can get the exact overlap recommended by the siding mfG! Great product so far! Saved me a lot of time!
