This was fairly easy to install. We used two people one to feed it and one to pull it along little by little. It's easy to cut to size. We really appreciated the round rubber in the middle for extra support. Ordered more after putting on the first one we received
I can't speak to durability but the rubber seems sturdy enough. As for waterproof, the material itself is rubber so that would seem to be a given. The strip does seem to make a good seal but it is a garage car door so there's that.
Great product but a great deal of patience is required. Unroll and allow to sit in the sun in the driveway to reduce the obvious initial curl. Clean the track with a wire brush thoroughly before attempting installation. Lube the track and the rubber with dish soap or simple green mixture.
Replaced a ripped seal. Best to use some soapy water to make it easier to slide across a 16ft track. I had a garage door installer come by to rebalance my double door and he was impressed with his seal, he made a comment on he may need to look at using these for his premium installs.
For all you other DIY'ers out there. This one is really good! I had never replaced a garage door bottom seal before, so naturally I was a bit worried I might mess this up. I saw some videos online and they made it look pretty straightforward, and it turns out that it IS pretty straightfoward.
